I am Shawna (insert hug or handshake here), the gal behind that lens and founder of Shawna RaNae Photography based in Zimmerman, MN. I specialize in the young adults who are getting ready to start their last year of high school and ending their college years.  I am proud to say that my work has been nationally and internationally published in various senior photography magazines ◡̈

I have an outgoing and humorous personality. I love to chat because I am not a fan of that awkward silence. And some would say loud ◡̈  but, hey, if it captures "that" moment, I am all for it!

Don't be alarmed-I typically will show up to shoots in a sweatshirt and leggings/sweatpants. No matter the temperature. I know it's weird, but there are times I end up in the weeds, in the trees, laying on concrete/roads-you get the idea ◡̈. Plus, let's be honest, the comfy 'fits' make getting up a little easier. I am no longer as flexible as I was in high school!

This isn't your standard, boring Senior session. This is a session with fun, laughs, and... well, I have been known to toss in whatever embarrassing phrase/memory (courtesy of the parents/friends), to get 'that' moment. I don't want this moment to be the 'dreaded', or 'my parents are making me do this' session. ◡̈

I invite the bestie(s) along to the session. Sometimes bringing a friend, not only can ease that 'stranger anxiety', but, I have found it can also help capture those candid moments. ​
